Privacy Policy
connect4.life is a Connect Four game. This page explains what it stores, why, and how to get rid of it. It covers the iOS app and the website.
What we store
- Account — your email address, your username, and a cryptographic hash of your password. We never store the password itself and cannot recover it.
- Play data — your rating, win/loss/draw record, match history, puzzle progress and cosmetic choices.
- Messages — direct messages and in-game chat you send are stored so they can be delivered and shown in your history.
- Moderation — reports you submit and accounts you block.
You can play the entire game offline as a guest without an account. In that case nothing is sent to us at all — your progress stays on your device.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't ask for your real name, phone number, contacts, photos or location.
- Your email address is never shown to other players. Other people only see your username, avatar, rating and record.
We use your email address to send one-time sign-in and password-reset codes, and to contact you about your account if we need to. Those messages are sent through our email provider solely for delivery.
Subscriptions
connect4 Pro is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple. Apple processes the payment — we never see your card details. We record only whether your account is currently subscribed.
Advertising
The free version may show ads. Pro removes them. Where a third-party ad provider is used, that provider has its own privacy policy governing what it collects; we don't share your account details with it.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, play history, messages and moderation records. It cannot be undone, and we don't keep a shadow copy. You can also email support@connect4.life and ask us to do it.
Children
connect4.life is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll update the date above and note the change in the app.
